Three years ago, my husband and I started our dream of entrepreneurship. After talking about it for the past ten years, we finally took action and bought into a Huntington Learning Center. We thought it would be everything we ever wanted—helping children succeed and supporting our family comfortably. Never in a million years would we have anticipated the current state of affairs.

We opened the doors to our center two years ago, and were greeted with instant success. Our center was thriving, and we were amongst the top grossing centers to open. It seemed our dreams would come true.

After a few curveballs, we decided in the best interest of our family my husband would leave the center to go back into public education. This left me alone running a busy center, taking on all the responsibilities that we previously had entrusted to three full-time employees.

This is where the support of Luke McFetridge and the NewMark Merrill team steps in. I was in way over my head and didn’t even know where to start. Sensing my dilemma, they stepped in and offered help, someplace I never thought to look. It was really uncomfortable for me to admit how hard things had become. I was in the midst of a full-blown professional and personal crisis, and they helped me see things with clarity. I never imagined that a company as large as NewMark Merrill would take an active interest in me or my small business.

The support of Luke and the NewMark Merrill team has helped me in more ways than they could even possibly understand. I was on the verge of losing all my dreams until they stepped in. Through their understanding and willingness to help, I have been able to explore new business opportunities to keep my center open and running. Maliaka has been very helpful and creative in assisting me with promotional plans. Luke has been great at helping me brainstorm new operational ideas. Cindy has been understanding and compassionate regarding finances. I thought I was alone in this mess, but the NewMark Merrill team has proven that untrue.

From the bottom of my heart, I am so appreciative for all that NewMark Merrill has done for me. I know if it had not been for their team I wouldn’t be operational today. They have been proactive: sensing my troubles before I was willing to admit they were there. They have been knowledgeable: in tune with my business and community. They have been supportive: helping me see the light at the end of the tunnel. They have been understanding: easy to talk to, with good ideas and solutions.

NewMark Merrill has gone above and beyond anything I ever imagined possible. When I weather this storm and continue building my education empire, I will only lease from the NewMark Merrill Company. They have gone above and beyond and taken a vested interest in my success.
